About Me
Hey there!
I’m Anson, and welcome to my personal website.
I’m a third-year Computer Engineering student @ UBC, expecting to graduate in 2029. I’m currently a software engineer intern @ ScalePad.
I was born in Hong Kong but I spent 15 years growing up in AustraliaWhile my Aussie accent has faded slightly, I will forever be an Aussie at heart after (barely) surviving the brutal heat and giant spiders, snakes, and super swole kangaroos. 🦘🦘
Outside of coding, you’ll probably find me playing tennis, badminton, or table tennis, or working on my Cantonese and Mandarin pronunciation because I cannot stop being a target at family gatherings.
I love building software people actually use and hope to create products that make everyday life a little easier, a little better, and a little more fun. ✨

- I’ve played the violin and the trumpet for 12 years and 10 years respectively. I’m hoping to join UBC’s symphony orchestra before I graduate.
- I like to play tennis and badminton regularly. Fun fact: two of my high school friends in Australia have played in professional events.
- My favorite animals are penguins (noot noot). Pingu has never failed to make me laugh (and I'm not embarassed to admit that 😭).
- I'm currently reading "The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes" by Mei Hachimoku. It is such an amazing read and I highly recommend it to everyone.
